Motheread, Inc. offers a variety of curriculum-based trainings for developing literacy skills in specific contexts with different populations. Led by a pair of trainers, each training is learner-centered and experimental. Scholars regularly advise and inform the training faculty. To strengthen their leadership and broaden their expertise, these trainers have explored literary traditions, cultural and social history, as well as current research regarding literacy best practices.

Since 1987, we have been conducting trainings throughout the United States mainland and islands in the South Pacific.  Instructors from a variety of settings including community colleges, libraries, human services, Head Start, Title I, parent education, and family support attend the trainings.  Many of our trainings can be customized for your group in your state or community.
